Beth Knutson, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Beth Knutson, our Chief of Staff, has been caring for pets at Bellwood Animal Hospital since 2006. Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Knutson received her B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in 2002. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Beth's professional interests include surgery and dermatology.
Mark Grove, DVM
Dr. Mark Grove has been caring for pets at Bellwood Animal Hospital since 1986. He attended Sauk Valley Community College, earning an Associate of Science, and later Eastern Illinois University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science. Dr. Grove completed his education with a DVM degree at the University Of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He has special veterinary interests in orthopedics, dermatology and internal medicine.
Kathryn Korpan, DVM
Dr. Kathryn Korpan grew up in McHenry and is excited to return to Northern Illinois. In 2007, she graduated from Carthage College in WI in 2007 where she received a bachelor's degree in biology. Dr. Korpan later attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2011. Following graduation, she pursued a year-long internship focused on small animal medicine and surgery at Carolina Veterinary-Specialists in Charlotte, NC. Upon completion of her internship, Dr. Korpan practiced in Charlottesville and Williamsburg, VA.
Laura Lind, DVM
Dr. Laura Lind began working at Bellwood Animal Hospital in 2014. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned a bachelor's degree in animal sciences in 2005. Dr. Lind worked for five years in the veterinary field as a technician. She later returned to the University of Illinois where she earned a DVM degree in 2014 to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Lind's special veterinary interests include ophthalmology and cytology.
Jerome Jallen, DVM
Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Dr. Jerome Jallen attended North Dakota State University where he studied microbiology and biology. While there, he worked with the research facilities and became very interested in gross pathology and internal medicine. In 1996, Dr. Jallen obtained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. During vet school, he furthered his interest in pathology by working in the Clinical Pathology Lab for two years.
