Veterinary Technicians and Kennel Staff
Wisconsin native Nicole McGlynn is a certified veterinary technician and has helped care for pets at Bellwood Animal Hospital since 2007. Nicole has worked in the animal care field since 1999 and is happy to be part of the hospital's caring, friendly staff. Her animal companions include Kitty, a cat, a goldfish named Captain Jack Sparrow and Mabel, a rat. When she's not at the hospital, Nicole enjoys reading mystery stories, spending time with her daughter and gardening.
Certified veterinary technician Cindy Spooner is originally from Wisconsin and has worked in the animal care field since 1993. She attended the Madison Area Technical College and received her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. Cindy enjoys educating clients about pet healthcare and loves working with the friendly staff. Cindy's family is involved in showing beef cattle and she helps care for a number of cows and pygmy goats. Her animal companions also include two dogs, Lexi and Nike, and two cats, Zoe and Boots. Outside of work, her hobbies include scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with her three children.
Certified veterinary technician Tammy Burkon has helped care for pets at Bellwood Animal Hospital since September 2008. A native of Rockford, Tammy has worked in the animal care field since 2002 and has earned her Associate's Degree in both Veterinary Technology and Art. She finds working with the friendly staff and knowledgeable veterinarians to be very rewarding and she loves working with pets. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies with her husband and going to coffee shops with friends. Tammy shares her home with two cats, Hope and Chirpy, and a dog named Peanut.
Veterinary assistant Heather Brady joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 1997. Originally from Rockford, Heather has worked in the animal care field since 1996. She enjoys the friendly atmosphere at the hospital and finds working with clients and their pets to be very rewarding. She shares her home with three cats, Mittens, Bull and Lilly. Outside of work, Heather enjoys watching movies, shopping, boating, bowling and going on nature walks.
Tina Gasior joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2002 as a veterinary assistant. She grew up in Hoffman Estates and has worked with animals since 1997. Tina is proud of the high-quality care offered at the hospital and enjoys working with the friendly staff. Tina's four-legged family members include five dogs—Abby, Angel, Hooch, Princess and Sassy. Outside of work, Tina enjoys swimming, shopping, going to Chicago Bears games and spending time with her family and pets.
Veterinary assistant Cassidy Haas joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2006. Cassidy enjoys the learning experiences that come with working at the hospital and is proud of the high level of care provided by the vets and staff. Cassidy's hobbies include boating, gardening, swimming, hosting cookouts and hanging out with her husband and pets. Her animal companions include dogs Butkus and Bear, a cat named Lovie, a bird named Kiwi and an iguana named Scipio.
Kennel attendant Rachel Thoele joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2007. She loves working with animals and is proud to be part of the caring staff. Rachel's hobbies include reading, fishing and art and spending time with family and friends. At home, she can be found spending time with her cats Tinkerbelle, Smokey and Spanky and her dogs Misty and Kali.
Kennel attendant Abigail Simonson joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2008. A native of Roscoe, IL, she is studying nursing at Rock Valley College. Abigail loves animals and enjoys working with the friendly, knowledgeable staff and veterinarians at the hospital.
She enjoys the companionship of several pets at home, including three dogs, Bear, Cooper and Little Dog, a cat named Misty and a bird, Lucy. Abigail is an avid hockey player and also teaches hockey in her spare time. Her hobbies include going to concerts and fishing.
A groomer at Bellwood Animal Hospital since 1997, Shane Harris grew up in Genoa. He is proud to be part of the caring team of doctors and staff at the hospital and loves working with pets. Shane's animal companions are three dogs Tia, Angelica and Madge. When he's not at the hospital, he enjoys gardening, home improvement, camping and hiking.
